Michael and Tom are in Serbia this week. As the mission gets underway, Tom writes:

We’re here in Novi Sad, Serbia for the first ever mission week in the city, called Otkrij (‘Uncover/Discover). The week is loosely based on Michael’s book ‘What kind of God?’ which was recently translated into Serbian. This has attracted even more interest for the mission as people are keen to meet the author.

Michael will be speaking at three evening events, the first looks at our value in God’s eyes, then on understanding Hell and judgement, and finally the Cross. After we leave on Thursday, Michael Green will be arriving to speak on the question of suffering.

Each day we will have a stand on campus from which we can give out free tea and coffee. At the stand we’ll have lots of flyers from lots of friendly people and a board with our question of the day. Today we’ve been asking ‘What makes you special?’ to get people thinking about where we get value. We have also been doing some questionnaires around the campus. Lots of people have been stopping to talk, and I had a great chat today with four guys studying cookery.

Please pray for Michael tonight as he speaks on our worth before God. Pray for clarity and insight, pray for intrigue on campus and pray for God to be moving amongst the students this week.
