As the MOET team are involved with Leeds university mission this week, Mary writes: We give all praise and glory to God for an excellent start to the mission week here in Leeds. The strategically placed marquee sits in the centre of campus and was soon filled yesterday as Michael spoke at our first lunch talk about whether the Bible is a fabricated fairytale. Many good conversations followed into the afternoon as the marquee was transformed into a relaxed and warm café. CU members boldly invited friends to the evening event where Michael spoke about our true identity being found in Jesus. This was creatively and powerfully intertwined with beautifully sung pieces of music from Andy Mayo.
There was evident fruit following this as a number of students prayed for the first time at the end of the talk, making a significant step in wanting to follow Jesus and know him more.
Be praying for the CU and CU guests as we follow up students today. Pray for the first international dinner happening tonight that many would come along and listen well. Pray for Lindsay Brown as he speaks this evening on ‘what is real love?’ Pray that the heating continues to work so that we have a warm marquee and those who come experience the perfect love of Jesus offered to them this Valentine’s Day!
